How do I place an order?
All order forms come with an attached envelope in which to enclose your order form and payment. Tear off the envelope at the perforation, fold up the order form and include your payment. Return all order forms to your teacher, school office, or club by the ORDER DUE DATE noted on the forms.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, cheque, money order, Mastercard and Visa. Cheques and money orders should be made out to "Ryan David Photography". Please write your child's PROOF ID on any cheques submitted.
Can I write one cheque if I am paying for more than one child?
Yes. In fact, all order forms can be placed in one envelope as well. If submitting individual order envelopes, just make a note on the order forms that do not have payment enclosed that total payment was included with another child's order.
Can I write a post-dated cheque?
We do not accept post-dated cheques. Post-dated cheques are subject to a $15 surcharge if sent to us. So are NSF cheques, for that matter. If you would like to delay a payment or make a purchase at a later time, contact us directly and we'll help make alternate arrangements.
How do I make a return/exchange or get a refund?
We don't have a policy on this kind of thing, per se. It is your responsibility to double-check and confirm your order. We cannot return, exchange or provide refunds for photographs once ordered. However, if you think there was a problem with how we processed your order, let us know and we'll look into it. If we find that a mistake was ours, we'll make it right at no expense to you.
Can you explain your re-take policy?
We prefer not to be bound by any rigid policy, so the thing with re-takes is simple. If you are not satisfied with your photo proofs, request a re-take and we'll try take better photos next time. Please consider that we try to never let a subject leave the camera without at least one good photo from which to choose. For a whole variety of reasons, sometimes things don't work out, but we'll give it another go on re-take day. Once a re-take has been requested, original proofs are discarded and no longer available for ordering.

Why is parent contact information needed on the order forms?
Every once in awhile, we may have question or two about an order and need to clarify pose selection or personalization options. The quickest way to address these issues is to contact a family directly so as not to delay order processing.
The photo proofs look kinda fuzzy. Are they out-of-focus?
No. We print proofs from low-resolution files on laser or inkjet printers. All photographs are printed on professional Kodak paper with any necessary adjustments to make sure your pictures look perfect (almost no adjustments are ever needed because our photographers get the focus and exposure right at the time of the photo sittings!).
The colour on the photo proofs doesn't look quite right. Will this be fixed?
All necessary photo adjustments are made at the time of printing. See previous question. All proofs are printed or displayed from low-resolution files. We get the colour and exposure right at the time of the photo sitting, so once your photos are printed on professional-grade photo paper, the photos look vibrant and sharp!
How does your family plan pricing work?
For families with 3 or more children attending school where we are the school photo company, you may receive the third child's photo package at no charge. Now that's a deal! Please note that the free package must be of equal or lesser value than the lowest priced package purchased.
How do individual package discounts work?
This is similar to the family pricing... err, but different. For individual students, after ordering 1 photo package, you may order up to two addtional photo packages at 1/2 the regular price. Additional packages are subject to the regular price. Both 1/2 price packages must be of equal or lesser value of the original purchased package.
Can you offer some recommendations on choosing my pose and/or theme packagae?
I'm not ordering a photo package. Can I still get a class photo?
Yes. Students not ordering photo packages will receive a complimentary 5x7 class photo. For students who do order at least one individual photo package, we will upgrade your class photo and provide a personalized, 8x10 Memory Mate.
Why is there a due date on the order forms?
We process each school and club as one batch. When we collect all orders at the same time, we are able to return all photo packages at the same time as well. In this way, we are able to have pictures in families' hands far sooner than other photo companies.
Why is there a late fee required for my order?
This is somewhat related to the previous question. The late handling fee exists to accommodate the extra time needed to process orders that have missed the queue. We process each school or club at the same time. Once a batch goes into production, late and additional orders take some extra time and effort to get organized and into the production batch. In addtion, late orders may be mailed directly to families.
